Hey all,
I thought I'd start out by sharing s story about grandma and grandpa. When I was 18, I got engaged to a 24-years-old that I met at institute. He was a good guy and everything, but just not the right guy for me--- and I was basically too too young. My dad and mom tried talking to me and telling me their concerns about my age but I was sure I knew what I was doing.
The next day, grandma and grandpa just happened to drop in ;). They were driving to Ridgecrest to see a friend of theirs that sold cars up there and would I like to go along? So of course I wanted to go. It was a 3-hour drive each way. So I got all this valuable one-on-one time with them.
They talked to me about being engaged and basically helped me come to my senses in a way nobody else could. They were so loving and caring. I'm so glad they shared time and their wisdom with me at a time when I needed it. I broke off the engagement and everything turned out right.

Feel free to invite your kids too.  They might have some things to share too, especially if they're older!  All of you should have posting privileges, so look for "new post" at the upper right of this page.  The kids can get privileges too.  And let me know if things aren't working right.

Sharing Memories

Hello Cousins! This blog is for sharing our memories of Grandpa Garth and Grandma Mary. All of us are different ages and saw them in different places and settings. We all had different experiences with them from our unique perspectives and ages. Sharing those experiences can help us get to know them better, but also help us stay close.

I would love to hear your stories! Sharing these stories will also create a history of their lives that can be found nowhere else.

I'm sure we all agree that Grandpa and Grandma added so much to our lives and that their examples continue to influence us in positive ways. So let's share those experiences with each other and their influence will continue to uplift and inspire us.

I sure love all of you and I'm grateful for the bonds we've had over all the years and continue to have. Love, Cousin Liz
